Big News: We Have a New App
You're about to get 10% Appier
Yes, it’s really happening. You asked for a better, simpler, more straightforward experience, and we are delivering.
Here’s the deal: the 10% Happier community is moving from Substack to a new app called 10% with Dan Harris.
Everything you already have access to—meditations, live sessions, the podcast, community—is coming with you.
This is important: your paid subscription carries over exactly as-is and there are no new or additional charges. For example, if you’re six months into your danharris.com Substack membership, you’ll be six months into your membership on the app—same status, same billing cycle, same price. We’re just upgrading the vehicle.
Why We’re Moving
Substack has been great for getting this community off the ground, but the new app gives us:
Better meditation access – Easier to find, bookmark, and organize the content you actually want to use
Real community features – Connect with other people on this journey (if you want to—no pressure)
Improved live events – Easier access to upcoming/previous events and a more reliable experience
A home we can build on – We have more flexibility to build in a way that makes sense for this community
This isn’t about adding more stuff to your plate. It’s about making what we already do work better.
Action Steps for Paid Subscribers
The new 10% with Dan Harris is live! You can access it on your desktop or via the app. In order to get going, we’re going to walk you through the steps to set your password on the desktop version so you can log-in, and after, if you want to, download the app and log-in there.
1. Set your password – go to app.danharris.com
Note: since we can’t import passwords from Substack, you’ll use the “Forgot your password” button to create your new login—even though you haven’t actually forgotten anything yet. We’ve copied images below of what you should see during the different steps of this process.
Select “Forgot your password?”
Enter your email address (Image A)
Check your email for “Change my password” button (Image B)
Create new password where it says “Change your password” (Image C)
You’re in! You only have to do this once.
2. Download the app - Once you’ve completed the password set up (above), you can download the mobile app.
iPhone/iPad: App Store
Android: Google Play Store
Enter the email address that you use to subscribe to danharris.com.
Check your inbox for an email from 10% with Dan Harris containing a six-digit code.
Use the six-digit code to log in to the app.
3. Poke around – Your content is there, it’s just organized differently.
4. That’s it – Should take about 10 minutes.

FAQ
Do I need to cancel my Substack subscription? Nope. We’re handling that. You won’t get double-charged.
Can I just stay on Substack? The newsletter will remain on Substack and will be free for everyone. Everything else—meditations, courses, live events, community—is moving to the new app.
I have multiple email addresses – which one do I use? The one where you get your Substack subscription emails. Not sure? Email us at support@danharris.com and we can look it up.
What about the newsletter? If you want to keep getting the newsletter, do nothing. But the main action is happening in the new app.
What happens if I get stuck?
Look, technology can be annoying. We get it. If something’s not working or you’re confused:
Email: support@danharris.com
Subject line: “App help”
Tell us where you’re stuck
We’re a small team with our first-ever dedicated support person, we’ll get back to you within 48 hours.
The Bottom Line
This move is about making things better, not more complicated. Same community, same content, same price—just a platform that actually works the way we need it to.
We’re excited about this next chapter, and grateful to you for being part of it.
See you in the new app.
—Dan & Team

I LOVE that our subscription is being carried over. As someone whose Happier annual fee came thru at the end of August 2024 I like that I didn’t have to double up this year with this new move. Thank you, you guys are the best!!
THANK YOU! I LOVE THIS IDEA! Made my day!
