Yay! Bianca joins the Renegades. Anyone watching Landman? Excellent look into west Texas oil patch. Yes, I'm Texan, and yes, those women are for real. But dang... Taylor Sheridan is misrepresenting the female in this series, as he did in Yellowstone. Will be nice to hear from Italian American east coast girl, my roots 🤠

This is very long so apologies to anyone doing a character count.

Dan, can’t tell you how much I have come to rely on the podcast and your warmth, wit, and fucking honesty. (Yes, as a creative the f-bomb is used as a comma in my world.) Since November I have had to completely remove myself from my daily fix of news and politics or risk sinking into a deep depression. (Been there, done that, ain’t doing it again.)Instead I turn on the podcast every morning. I bought your book months ago from Thriftbooks (sorry, new books don’t fit in my budget) and put it on the stack on the nightstand. Two weeks ago during a particularly stressful couple of days, I listened to your conversation with Sister D (name?) and something that you said so resonated with me that I retrieved your book and sat down to read. I couldn’t believe when I opened the like-new copy that I was staring at your signature! It felt like I was getting a hug from a friend.

Hi Dan. Love the Friday Fixations. Just came across this video that lacks all cultural merit but is wonderful nonetheless and seems like you’d appreciate. Enjoy. https://m.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=92&v=SxWR5VtTMbM&embeds_referring_euri=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.upworthy.com%2F&source_ve_path=MTM5MTE3LDI4NjY2

Yeah, that movie really was DARK! I could not watch until the end. My husband told me about it. He thought it was really well acted, too.....especially the last scene.

How about some thoughts for those of us who don’t celebrate? Speaking only for myself, I don’t have a partner at this time, and I’m overwhelmed by “Valentine happy day” emails. Honestly? It makes me ill, but it also makes me feel like “less”. I’m not less but how do I remind myself of that? And how do I communicate that to others?

It's hard to feel less Fiona...I know the feeling of not having a partner. I used to try and convince myself that it was ok and it didn't matter to me but it did and I was sad. I'm sorry you're feeling that way. Is embracing a Galantines celebration an option for you? The Galantines thing came from the sentiments your expressing I think. Sending you a virtual hug from Phoenix
