If you have a trained therapy dog 🐶 you’ll be cooking with gas on these flights. I love how you still are honest about struggling- we all have challenges in this weird world.
Dogs are beautiful bundles of unconditional love and joy. If you're looking for more incentive to get an emotional support therapy dog, I think you'd enjoy the heartwarming Netflix documentary "Inside the Mind of a Dog."
My standard poodle, Nike, is a born therapy dog. He knows when I’m stressed and asks for petting, which calms me down. We visit a Veterans Affairs health center where the residents realize the same benefits that I derive daily. Even the staff are grateful for our therapy dog visits. I’m downsizing with my next dog so that they can accompany me on travel — It’s difficult leaving them at home!
My son’s dog (20 years ago) offered unconditional love from a being who held no expectations of a clean room or completed homework.
Yes, dogs are more than a tool, but family members that take a special commitment.
Recently I was in the airport in Providence, RI, and they have therapy dogs working in the airport. I met Dexter, a German shepherd/basset hound mix, wearing a vest saying, "I'm a working dog, please pet me." I think this is the best idea I've come across in a decade!
If you decide to get a dog, remember how much care they need. They cannot be left alone in the house all day long, needs walks and lovin’ a bunch.
Cuddly breeds: golden retriever or Stanfordshire terrier (the American kind) are super loving. Like a land seal. They love being right up next to you. My kids have one of those, and it’s very sweet. Tho it needed obedience training when young. You might ask about getting a service dog, who is trained to remain calm around strangers and in unusual places. These come in all breeds.
If you are out in the west coast, the absolute Best place to adopt a dog is the Asher House. They fully vet, neuter and do basic training with all their dogs. If you tell them you want a calm, cuddly dog, they can tell you exactly which one to get. https://www.newlifeasherhouse.org/
You can also watch Lee Asher (the owner and founder) as he rescues dogs. It’s very heart warming. https://www.theasherhouse.com/
If you apply for an emotional support dog check out smaller breeds. A lot of people thing golden doodles are great, but remember that you want a dog that isn't too needy or large. Carrie Fisher had a French bull dog, but they have a lot of breathing issues. Miniature Schnauzers are small. I know some people have crosses between miniature Schnauzers and miniature poodles - miniature schnoodles. Do your research. I think it would do you and the family good. Best of luck. 💕
Dear Dan! Getting a dog is getting into a relationship. I got a very loving one, a golden retriever. One of the best relationships I've ever had. ♥️ I am profiting fully from this relationship. Pure love! Sure, a dog needs training, walking, and the love! If you are prepared for this, it's quite likely you will profit from it. We pick a kid-friendly, gentle dog to fit our lifestyle. 😊 Research, research, research. 😁
Excited to check out “Ask Joseph” hopefully you and Sam and “get me in there thru the laws of karma” 😉
I know it’s online, but the ways Sam got you into “Spirit Rock” or as you called it “fraggle rock” perhaps I can get a scholarship to the nearest IMS by me (upstate, NY/MA/Catskills area) be well, Dan!-Kevin Michener

Animals are great. They are also unpredictable.
It’s a relationship with another living being.
Tread carefully, buddy. 😊

Thanks, Dan! Always love a dog video. 🐶😍 Dig the song, too! Rock on! 🤘
a) I have a velcro dog. I’ve had dogs before. I’d heard the term. I was not prepared. It’s one of the highlights of my life. So much joy.
b) I can so relate to the attempt to demonstrate for the dog that ‘this’ is a yoga/exercise mat, and this lane is mine. 😆
