Going to watch Sly Lives today! Still listen to them in my playlist. Thanks for that awesome suggestion! The cat is so funny. Maybe in the future I can stomach the other suggestion…

Thanks for the reminder to check out Questlove's "Sly Lives" this weekend, Dan!

I can still feel and hear "Stand" reverberating through my mind and feel the fierceness it evoked in me back in those youthful 60's and 70's days of mine. The world was my oyster I believed. Filled with immense idealism, deep passion and such love for and of life, I set off into the world.

So grateful for where and when I was raised and what I, because of those, have been able to proudly pass on to my offspring and theirs.

Peace

Can someone on the team PLEASE help me with a tech issue? Trying to listen ad-free (as a , paying subscriber) on Apple Podcasts on my iPad, despite clicking the link sent via email, I cannot get there from here. And I am still getting ads when I listen on Apple. I have three devices, I listen on all three iPhone, iPad and iMac. Do I need to click the emailed link in all three? And NOW I cannot find the link that allowed me to select ad free on Spotify, which is not my preferred platform.

Thanks for the reminder to watch the Apprentice. I’ve been interested in the Roy Cohn connection since way back. He came to my attention when “Angels in America” first aired, then there was a fascinating NewYorker long piece, (possibly by Jeffrey Toobin?) that’ll stand the hairs up on the back of your neck when you realize just where the foundational core of the current Prez was formed. Fascinating history, and a pretty good movie. It’s well written, very well acted and has good continuity. 👍👍

Partially wishing that I could tolerate “The Apprentice” but knowing I could not watch it without vomiting, I will pass and trust that I’m already aware of his sociopathic “gifts”.

Love the light hearted cat videos.

And here is an essay from a friend of mine that is worth sharing everywhere. She’s an award winning journalist, and all around amazing human whom I strongly suspect you would be in sync with. https://substack.com/inbox/post/158974062
