I’m watching this video on Jan 20 hoping to equip myself for the day. As much as I find 47 despicable, every now and then I remember that he is made of the same stardust as I am. That allows me to lower the temperature of my anger. Compassion might be a reach for me but detachment may work.

Ignorance is bliss is a cliche for a reason, as Dan often explains when discussing such wisdom.

Doing the same. The cavalry has not come to save us. We need to do something different going forward and it starts with me.

This was my first time doing a video meditation. The idea seemed weird to me at first but I liked having this video to end my day. Thank you!

Disappointed it felt like you were trying to cover up all the fear and anger, be above it with good wishes, and everything that’s going on in this world with this new president right now and the fears we have about it with just sending them love and just be understanding. Doesn’t address the deeper issues.

I find noting so helpful during meditation (thank you Dan, thank you Joseph Goldstein) and I was humbled to realize much of my noting today was ‘gratitude’. Thank you Dan and team.

To add some levity I like to ask myself, "Do you sure?"

Thanks, Dan. Still struggle with the direction of travel but will work on the things I can control. It's not going to be easy and I do live on the other side of the pond but feel all of this viscerally. You have dialled iit back for me.

This was so great Dan, I have found the power of the pause to be helpful lately, especially for my self care. It has helped with calming my nervous system and mind if I want to lash out because of a post or what someone said and if I “think” I am hungry or want to shop. 😆 have a good day and again, thank you 💛🌟⭐️

As much as I can, I like to think of these times as times. When we add the descriptor “tumultuous”, we tend to make them more so for us. For some, tomorrow is dooms day, For others, it’s the day when things will become better. Such a great example of grasping and pushing away. Welcome to humanity. 🙏
